In what order is content displayed on Slushy?

Members can choose how content is displayed to them by selecting either "New", "Feed Me" or "Following".

If a Member selects "New", content is displayed to them in chronological order, with the newest content displayed first. Keep posting new content to stay near the top of the list!

If a Member selects "Feed Me", the content is ordered based on what the Member has previously viewed (and how often), "liked", shared, followed, purchased or subscribed to on Slushy. If a Member has previously viewed, liked, shared, followed, purchased or subscribed to your content, or if the description you provided of your content is similar to what the Member has previously viewed, liked, shared, followed, purchased or subscribed to, your content will appear closer to the top of the list of content displayed to that Member.

Once a Member has seen content, it will be temporarily removed from the "Feed Me" feed until the Member has viewed 2,000 other pieces of content.

If a Member is new to Slushy or has otherwise not previously viewed or liked much content on Slushy, Slushy orders content based on popularity (i.e. number of views and likes) across the platform over a randomly chosen period of up to 3 weeks.

Again, once a Member has seen content, it will be removed from the feed until the Member has viewed 2,000 other pieces of content. If a Member has seen all the content from the relevant period, Slushy will display content based on popularity over another randomly selected period of up to 3 weeks.

If a Member selects "Following", new content from the creators they are following is displayed based on popularity with that Member, meaning how much of that creator's content the Member has viewed, liked, shared or purchased. If a Member does not yet follow any creators, Slushy will suggest creators to Members based on that creator's popularity over the last 3 weeks (i.e. number of views, likes and people subscribing to that creator).

Slushy will also provide suggested creators to Members who are already following other creators, but these suggested creators will appear after the creators the Member is following.

How do I get my content higher up the list?

Posting new content frequently will make it more likely that your content will appear first when the Member selects the "New" tab on Slushy. Posting content that gets a lot of likes and views will get your content closer to the top of the list on the "Feed Me" tab for new Members. Videos are also ranked higher than images.

Using hashtags can help push out your content more to users as well. Please view our Slushy University tutorial on how to maximize discoverability with hashtags:

Please note that any sexually explicit content that is not paywalled (i.e. that is freely available, rather than available for purchase or subscription) will only be visible to users who have Adult preferences selected in their settings.
